Master of the Moment #30
The day after Night 30, my insides needed a cleanse.
I needed a cleanse to show that 30 Nights out do not define me. I know I made it through 32 without a crying spew but…..
I want to focus on exercise but not in the words of Runyon Canyon. As Mayor I don’t appreciate this:
Angie Banicki: Mayor of Runyon Canyon – The Daily Truffle
And spelling mistakes are a big pet peeve of the 7th grade spelling bee champ in me.
I ran into my favorite Runyoner Adrian on my hike and ironically he said he started a 30 day cleanse post Halloween. hmmm 30 days no drinking for me….or maybe just 5.
Post hike in a Type A Panicki Banicki Moment, the spelling champ broke down sobbing over mistakes on my site…
well I didn’t cry on my bday at least.
Puffy eyes and all, I headed to try out YAS www.go2yas.com in Los Feliz with Rachel.
5 minutes into Kerry Sullivan’s class, I realized the breathing on my spin was much like my deep sobbing breaths – but these deep breaths made me focus on the positive.
Kerry got me to forget about misspellings and think about what I was going to do next.
From 30 nights to 30 masters!
Kerry at YAS is my number 30 master.
She took us from intense spinning to more deep breathing in yoga. 30 minutes each.
I felt like a new person and could laugh about my tears. Kerry had calmed the Panicki.
I found this quote from my book Synchronicity by Joseph Jaworski(Thanks Brett Leve!) after my workout –
“To venture causes anxiety, but not to venture is to lose one’s self…And to venture in the highest is precisely to be conscious of one’s self.” Soren Kierkegaard
I ventured to YAS and Kerry helped me to become conscious of myself when I was venturing on losing it.
PS The Panicki is going to remember Master 30 and use my YAS Yoga DVD to focus ahead! Kimberly the owner of YAS wrote this book – The No OM Zone and if you buy the book on Amazon and send the receipt to info@go2yas.com, Kimberly will send you a DVD for free.
