#20- Clean it up Cilia

Cilia Hernandez

#20 Cilia and her helpers are masters of clean!

JJ Banicki once told me, “Angie.. clean it up, and get rid of the clutter. A cluttered house means a cluttered mind.”
I’ve been working on the clean to help clear my mind for writing!
Cilia cleans in Angie time  meaning I can text her at midnight- “Cilia! I need one of your helpers soon! Maybe friday!?”
After Cilia leaves me with a clean home I feel a calm wash over me and even my brain seems to sharpen! I don’t know what I’d do without her.

Today is an example of why Cilia and her team are masters. I came home and Arely, one of Cilia’s helpers, said “Angie, come see what I’ve done!”
Arely drags me back to my bedroom closet where it appeared my clothes were separated by type….
Usually I try to do some prep cleaning pre-Cilia but, uh that closet only accepts the messy me. It’s weird. You can’t see the floor within 24 hours of it being cleaned.
Ok, fine. I have a problem- I take clothes out, try them on, and for some reason.. can’t stop myself from throwing the dress, shirt,  and pants on the ground as I reach for the next.

Mind you, I wear workout clothes and basically the same 4 dresses on a consistent basis….and they’re usually pulled off the floor of my closet. Sorry, Mom!
Arely fixed this disaster!
It wasn’t just that my closet was reordered and clean, or that Arely had gone out of her way to go above and beyond her job that made her master….what made it special was the excitement and thoughtfulness she brought to my house that day. She made me feel special and reminded me that when you love your job it sparkles everyone around you!

“Clutter is stuck energy. The word ‘clutter’ derives from the Middle English word “clotter,”
which means to coagulate – and that’s about as stuck as you can get.”

  1. Hey. I just want to drop you a brief note to verbalize my thankfulness. I’ve been reading your blog posts for few days and have picked up a heap of fantastic tips and also enjoyed the way you have structured your site. I am going to run my blog however I feel it’s too basic and I want to concentrate more on specific subjects.
