Jay Lavender moment: “Get down to Tazmania and visit the spectacular Barnbougle Dunes Golf Course”
Jay Lavender, exemplifies inspiration for me. I got Jay’s email describing Richard Sattler’s Barnbougle dunes and booked my flight to Tasmania the next day. I hadn’t planned on visiting Taz…but since my favorite moments involve a good story and good people, I knew this was a “not-to-miss!” Jay, THE BREAKUP’s screenwriter, is currently working on a golf movie (MISSING LINKS) with Steve Carell. You’ll see from his note why I wanted to be here.
Britney Spears moment: “1, 2, 3 model, me, you, and me. Got one minute of dreams and I’m caught in between Countin'”
Jaws dropped and speechless, Janae and I had no clue where we were going, but couldn’t speak due to excitement. We followed Jason through a million securities and thousands of 12 year old girls and then like a circus ringleader opening the curtains, he lifted the rope to a mini red velvet couch-like seat in the front row! This was ours!?!
Naomi Watts: “Icebergs Bondi Beach is the best!”
I’m freaking out about the girls and then all of a sudden the road ahead starts breaking and these transformer things are digging up the road and then from the depths of the earth rises a large blue all-earthly superhero. He has his arms crossed and he’s staring down and says. “You won’t go further into these soils. Turn around. Go. Go.”
Alan Cumming: “I have left three tix for you at the studio box office for friday at 7pm. can’t wait to see you. in byron we are staying with a friend would love to hear your tips on friday come to the dressing room after and have a drinkie love from alan x”

Jack McBrayer moment: “Keep mental notes on your favorite things to do so you can tell McBrayer what to do whenever he finally travels there…”
Before I had time for to think about the ramifications for my actions I tied up my tennies, downed my iced skinny mocha with a scoop of ice cream (yeah that’s how they served it ha), and jumped into the…uh passenger seat. Details Angie details. I ran around the car, jumped in the driver’s seat and pulled out of the hotel and headed in the direction of the lighthouse.
Jessica Meisels Moment: “Try and hit byron for sure and stay at the byron at byron bay.”
Jessica continued: “The owners name is lyn and tell her u r a friend of mine. It is where all the celebs stay when they go-really private bungalows.”
MC Hammer: “Hammertime at Billboard. 9pm tonight.”
Ben Schwerin, my well-traveled friend, always seems to send me to people who end up staying in my life no matter what country they are in, so when Ben said I should meet his friend Max Markson from Sydney I knew I had to get to it. Lucky for me Max happened to be in Melbourne with MC Hammer at the same time I was there for my quick stint.
Joel Madden Moment
I kind of happened upon Joel’s moment yesterday which made it even more fun. That morning I searched for a game to attend and realized the football season for 09 was up. Went for my now routine run for the day and happened upon a trifecta of sport’s arenas and decided it was time to get creative for a moment. 😉
Jay Leno Moment: Go see Rove.
Since Jay Leno has never been to Sydney, my Jay Leno moment was to see the “Jay” of Australia-Rove. As a former intern for David Letterman and Conan O’Brian this moment was one that hit close to home. I love a cute comedy genius-and Rove was that and more. 🙂 Quick, witty, and personable. We laughed our way through his show.
Heroes Milo Ventimiglia moment: “I did get out for a 6 mile run around sydney harbor at 6am one morning (woulda been the afternoon back home so I was awake).”
Milo quote: Australia was an incredibly short trip. I was there for 2 and a half days and spent most of it in hotel rooms doing press for the show. I did get out for a 6 mile run around sydney harbor at 6am one morning (woulda been the afternoon back home so I was awake).
